Docusign
2024 - Present
DocuSign is a household name synonymous with e-signature. I joined the company through its acquisition of Lexion, during a broader transition from being known primarily as an e-signature provider to an end-to-end agreement management platform.

Revenue: $2.98 billion
Synopsis
Role: Lead Product Designer
Team size: 4
Post acquisition, I led much of the design effort to translate Lexion’s products into Docusign’s ecosystem such as AI Contract Review, and Agreement Desk. Later I was brought into the Automated Workflows team to simplify the building experience. I was the project lead, with 4 dotted line reports that spanned across US and India.

Agreement Desk
Agreement Desk was one of Lexion’s market differentiating product. At Lexion we had received tremendous signal to build a product that helped organize agreements pre AND post signature. This allowed our 100 person company to compete against Iron Clad, and win 50% of the time. Once Lexion was acquired by Docusign, our first initiative was to bring that capability into Docusign’s ecosystem. Agreement Desk makes it easy for anyone to initiate an agreement request, transform simple emails into trackable tasks, and leverages AI Contract Agents to streamline the start of every agreement.
The prototypes Chris created became the single most useful asset for aligning partner teams and driving progress. They consistently accelerated understanding and unblocked work. I can’t count how many times teams struggled to understand our product until I shared his flows—then everything clicked. These artifacts saved time, reduced confusion, and kept progress moving.

Automated Workflows
I led the end-to-end product vision and strategy for simplifying and redesigning Docusign’s low-code/no code workflow automations platform. Our automation tool underpins most of the IAM (Intelligent Agreement Management) value proposition, which aims to bring contract lifecycle management downstream to Docusign’s mid-market customer base.
Chris has brought a lot to the Maestro team. It's obviously an extremely messy, ambiguous space on top of the pain inherent in evolving eSign to IAM. Chris jumped in with both feet and I love that he always brought a strong POV and stayed receptive to new info and feedback.

AI Contract Review
Another feature from Lexion’s acquisition was our Microsoft Word plugin named AI Contract Review. This plugin allowed customers to review their agreement in Word, against playbooks they have configured—allowing for faster redlining and reviewing. Customers could easily see which clauses were violated, why, and even be offered suggested language to ensure all the bases are covered. I led the initial rebranding and information architecture of this project post-acquisition.
I loved partnering with Chris. He has a great grasp of evaluative research and knew when to step in and run it himself, which freed me up to focus on more strategic work. He regularly joined research sessions and did an excellent job carrying the voice of the customer and feedback forward into his design thinking. Chris is a strong partner who genuinely values research and knows how to turn insights into better product decisions.

The story is still unfolding…
It’s been a few years since I’ve joined Docusign and everything has been a blur since. I’ve hit some large personal milestones as well as professional ones. I’m excited to see what the Lexion team can do at Docusign’s scale, and if you’re following along, this is going to be a really fun chapter to read.
